Crisp air, pumpkin patches, apples & cinnamon, and the hundreds of dollars spent on pumpkin spiced lattes at Starbucks can only mean one thing: Hello Fall! Here we’ll be breaking down the 10 Trendiest Items you’ll need to turn heads in envy during this #SweaterWeather season!
One: Felt Hats (all under $32)
This Fall is going to be a floppy frenzy! We continue to see felt & wool hats paired with all types of fall looks. Best part is- they’re not only a great accessory to add to your outfit, but also the ultimate bed head coverage!
Two: Wool Headbands (all under $16)
Wool headbands are a Fall & Winter staple, but don’t be afraid to jazz it up a bit! When you’re working with muted tones like burgundy, olive, and tan it’s important to add a little pizzaz! Say buh-bye to bland headbands and hello to embellishment & details! Like “they” say- “it’s all in the details!“
Three: Boot Cuffs (all under $12)
“My socks feel funky!” (my mom will get a kick out of this one). It’s no secret that when it comes to boots & booties we all have our preferences on preferred sock types. Personally, I feel ankle socks will just never go well with boots- but hey, to each his own! Whatever your sock preference, you will no longer need to search for the perfect sock height and width to fit under those boots. These boot cuffs simply slip on over you leg & whichever socks you choose (plus it totally resembles a modern day leg warmer, so you can find me reenacting the Flashdance scene in these babies…cue water drop.)
Four: Blanket Scarves ($18)
Plaid + blanket scarf = total Fall babe. Don’t know what to add to that basic tee? Scarf. Need to add some color into your wardrobe? Scarf. Traveling and need an easy outfit that can coincidently be rolled up into a pillow or laid out into a blanket? Scarf. Can’t find any of your trendy neckalces? Scarf. I think you get the point- scarf.
Five: Vests (prices vary)
If you’ve shopped with us on the truck you’ve most likely heard me say “and you can totally pair a vest with that!” I’ve said it once and I’ll say it 743984 more times! A long vest can turn your Summer tunics & dresses into Fall pieces. The best way to ensure that is to use suede & sweater like vest fabrics!
Six: Longline Tunics (all under $48)
The ultimate throw on piece! Longline tunics are great for Fall, especially because they give you so much space to show off those not so new boots you bought in the heat of Summer! These tunics can be worn over leggings, jeans, shorts, or even worn open over a swing dress. Don’t be afraid to get risky with prints and patterns, and remember, you can’t go wrong with plaid & chambray for Fall!
Seven: Swing Dresses ($38)
I’ll take one in every style, length, color, and neckline! These dresses are the ultimate Fall comfort dress! They’re perfect to wear for practically any day. With these dresses you can get creative! Pair with a vest, a cape, or scarf! A crowd favorite is mixing the striped print swing dress with a plaid scarf. Want to see more? Don’t fret- we have more styles onboard!
Eight: Velvet (under $38)
Ooh la la! Not only does velvet feel so soft on your body- it fits forgiving too! In Florida it tends to be difficult to incorporate Fall fabrics with our rough heat- velvet is the answer! Pair these velvet jogger shorts with a plaid or chambray tunic + some booties and you’re all set!
Nine: Sweaters (prices vary)
#SweaterWeather is the best weather…well, when it comes to clothing at least! It’s always a little more fun when it gets cooler outside because that means layering up! The only reason we love layering up? Showing off more of our clothes!…Duh.
Ten: Capes ($64)
Cape me off a piece of that! Turn a casual outfit into an elegant look just by adding this one piece. This Fall item can be worn over a dress, jeans & a tee, leggings & a tunic, etc. You’ll be seeing capes all season long in sweaters, blazers, coats, and more!
Even though our blog post is now over- Fall is not! Enjoy this season of scented candles and holiday parties. In fact, go ahead and buy yourself a new outfit!… on The Trendy Truck! 😉
