A Tale of Two Interns

Looking for an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, pursue our passions for style, and expand our wardrobes, we decided that The Trendy Truck would be the perfect place to spend our summers. After meeting Heather, seeing the truck, and falling in love with literally every item inside, we knew this internship was meant to be.

From redesigning the website and taking inventory to writing blogs and scheduling posts on social media, we managed a variety of responsibilities and quickly learned what working for a fashion truck entailed. We took on the task of organizing a photo shoot and using the resulting photos to update the website. We also had the opportunity to attend an event at Angelo Elia in Coral Springs to see the truck in action.

Over the course of the summer, we obsessed over new arrivals, tried on the styles that intrigued us, and even purchased some of our favorites. Some of our most talked about items included those that made it in our closets, like the Knot Sisters Military Jacket and the Boho Navy Dress, and those that we still must have, like the Poppy Tee, the Mint Tassel Romper, and the Cats Meow Short.

Whether we were seated at our desks perfecting the website, out in the truck hanging up the newest arrivals, or laughing about blog headlines and topics, we loved every minute of our time at The Trendy Truck. We learned important retail lessons, such as how to steam a dress or hang a bathing suit top, and acquired essential tech skills, like how to schedule posts on Facebook or create an email newsletter. Although we are both excited start our fall semesters at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Boston University respectively, we know The Trendy Truck will always be waiting for us when we come home to visit.
